ABOUT ME

ME AND MY PHILOSOPHY

My name is Tudor Matei, I’m 19 years old, and my philosophy is simple: regardless of their starting point, anyone can “turn it all around” (180°) - to the point where somewhere along the winding road toward adulthood they’ll have no more major “what ifs”.

Now, know that wanting to not have any major “what ifs” by your late teens / early 20s is gonna get you called “delusional” by all accounts. This is largely because internet alphas and dollar-store gurus —male and female — have constantly pushed the agenda that I like to call “extremist sacrifice”, i.e., “you can’t have [this] unless you give up [that]”. Common examples include

● [partying/vast social life] ≠ [discipline/success]

● [romantic relationship] ≠ [ability to pursue your dreams]

● [valedictorian-level grades/pursuit of a good university] ≠ [vast social life]

and the list goes on.

A few years ago, with a deplorable starting point of my own (my present reality and future desires were in a sort of David and Goliath dynamic), I decided to spend my high school years trying to prove the extremist sacrifice narrative wrong - or die trying.

The process wasn’t pretty - largely because I had nowhere to look for advice. It’s safe to say I was dangerously close to the “die trying” part at times (metaphorically speaking, of course). The market for “crazy” young people striving to party like socialites, while having grades like nerds, while working out like gymrats while reading like bookworms, while having time for passion projects - all the while having the borderline blind belief that they’ll figure out a way to balance it all was…small.

In time, however, and with a plethora of roadbumps and “why is this happening to me”-like moments in between, I’ve been able to coherently sum up everything I’ve learned, done, and how I rewired my brain to change my circumstances entirely and have no what ifs as I head to university in September (April 30th 2026 as I type this out).

ASK ME ANYTHING

No pitch, no funnel, no strings attached. I read every message myself and do my best to answer the ones I can actually help with.

About the Book

180°

I chose to open up the preface of the book by saying “I wish I had this book when I was 15”. I think it speaks to the moments where I imagine where I could’ve been today had I had all the advice and tips & tricks from the book early on. I always reach the same conclusion though: it was perfect just the way it was - there’s a beauty in the journey itself, in the ups as much as the downs if you choose to believe before you see (not the other way around). No doubt, having had this book four years ago would’ve certainly helped me avoid some “unnecessary” roadbumps along the way though.

The subtitle isn’t “BIG PICTURE, small details” for no reason - it’s the essential message of all this: have a big picture in the back of your mind at all times to remind you of what you’re working for, but focus on the small details along the way. It’s never that simple, though. you’ll have to be courageous not once but many times, disciplined not once but at all times. Moreover, the truth is that it really only becomes beautiful once you start putting the pieces together - and that takes time.

And time.. takes a system. Nobody ever made it too far by just winging it. That’s where “180°” comes in. I’ve done my absolute best to summarize all the thought patterns, belief systems, mindsets and behaviors that helped me get to that “no more what ifs” point that I always speak about. I believe that this book can, in time, become an emotional and mental anchor for a lot of people who face that timeless “lost in it all” feeling.

Nevertheless, I understand you might need some sort of proof of quality - after all I’m a debut author - so I suggest accessing the FREE CHAPTER section, where you can choose a full chapter to read, absolutely free of charge, from a selection of three of my favorite ones. You can also let me know what you think over at CONTACT page.

A debut this raw at 19 is rare. It's not perfect — it's real, and that's exactly why it lands.
